Flex chosen as 1st Alternate for IFCS World Team 2017
We traveled to Castle Rock, CO to compete with a new World Team Tryout event through USDAA to select a US Agility Team to compete in Milan, Italy in late April 2018 in the IFCS Word Agility Event. There were 6 runs and we had multiple errors the first few runs, but then we started clicking and brought in a 9th, a 2nd and a 1st! So disappointed we didn’t do better the first day and we would have made the team. But so proud of my wonderful Flex and excited we MAY have a chance to go compete in the land of his father! He is soooooo fun to run!!
Skecher once again wins 2015 AKC Nationals!
Skecher is now a two time National Champion! He and I really clicked all weekend and he was the top seed going into the final round. He ran brilliant in the last round and gave me tons of kisses after a really connected run, and so did Jeff! Skecher lives for agility and it showed that day. There were tons of NW fans and it was so fun to hear them chanting, “Northwest, northwest,…”. This was very special as I was unable to run all Fall after injuring my Achilles attachments last summer. This was a long recovery and it was only a couple of weeks before Nats that I was able to run with any real speed. I was very lucky to find the product 1-TDC which was a turning point in my recovery and why I decided to carry this product. It was a great feeling that weekend as I was finally able to run Skecher to his full potential once again!
Flex returns to competition
Flex returned to the agility ring in Florida after 11 months of rehab after surgery repairing two broken deep digital flexor tendons in a rear foot. We were so lucky to find the very skilled Dr. Felix Duerr at CSU in Ft. Collins CO. 2014 was a very long year with an enormous amount of time put into rehab by Jeff and I. But all appears successful and he is running stronger every time and our timing is coming back together quite well. He so loves doing agility, it fills my heart with joy to see his glee after a run. It is such a privilege to run this amazing dog, he is so very special to both of us.
Rock-It wins his 4th National Championship
Rock-It won the AKC Preferred National Championships in Harrisburg, PA, at the age of 10. He has had quite a career! He previously won AKC Nationals in 2006, and also went to the FCI World Championships that year and placed 7th in the overall individual competition. In 2010 he won both in the US and Canada, in USDAA and AAC. Plus, being the father of Skecher and Scorch, and just one really fun and affectionate boy. Love him so.
